Microblading
Microblading
What is it?
Microblading, also known as feathering, micro-stroking or embroidery is a form of cosmetic tattooing but unlike the traditional tattooing or the cosmetic tattooing performed using a machine, it is considered semi permanent lasting up to 2years. Microblading is performed by depositing pigment superficially in the upper region of the dermis with the use of a hand tool with attached needles fused together in a curvilinear grouping allowing for much finer hair like strokes to be applied.
Before the Procedure
We spend much of the first hour discussing and trying various colour brow pencils to figure out your preference of colour, shape and the opacity of the application(light, medium or dark).
Naturally, most faces are not even. The brow bones and the muscle structure around it are often uneven from one side to the other. To ensure your cosmetic tattoo brows are as symmetrical as possible, we draw a chart using your facial structure as a guide.
Starting the procedure
Topical anesthetic is applied over your brows and it takes about 30mins to be effective. During that time, we will set up a sterile station free of any possibility of cross contamination. Moving forward into the procedure, all tools and items used are disposable, or fully encapsulated in one-time-use barrier film. Our key focus is STERILITY.
